Robert Hokum, 1951-2024

Sadly it’s goodbye to Bob Salmons (who performed under the stage of Robert Hokum) who departed this earthly existence last week after a valiant battle with a malign disease. Not only was Robert a great musician but also a tireless historian and chronicler of the British blues scene. I grabbed this shot of him here at the Ealing Blues Festival in July 2022 -an event with which he was inextricably involved as Founder and Artistic Director.
