John Mayall, RIP!

Very sad to learn of the passing of John Mayall, OBE (and slightly eerie that I published a photo of him just a few days previously).  John was a pioneer in the development of the British blues movement in the 1960s and beyond. A great player (guitar, keyboard, harmonica) and singer as well as a talent spotter and mentor to numerous musicians including Eric Clapton, Peter Green, Jack Bruce, Mick Fleetwood, John McVie, Keef Hartley, Mick Taylor and many others. He died at his home in California on Monday at the age of 90 and had been performing until 2022.
